Special edition kitchen splashback in the making for a private customer in Norway

NRK TV news in Norway on 14th September 2025 (29 minutes into this news report)

After an amazing report on prime-time TV news in Norway this autumn (29 minutes into this news report), I’ve received a great deal of interest in my work, both as a maker and as a consultant and educator in entrepreneurship. I’ve also been sharing how I use the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act as a tool to improve, and it’s inspiring to see the response.

This marks my very first shipment to Norway, though not my first export overall. I truly hope it arrives safely, and I’m looking forward to seeing photos once it’s installed.

The splashback is crafted from a special edition of donated waste glass bottles, with a stunning mint-green colour that makes it truly unique. The bottles were generously donated by a local glass artist, who creates beautiful tumblers from the bottoms but doesn’t need the top halves. Imagine that—the glass bottles have been upcycled twice!

This makes the splashback not only a striking design piece but also a story of sustainability, creativity, and collaboration between small businesses.

Special thanks to Maikki Ranger from Hey!remade for the glass, Gry Blekastad Almås for the exposure and interview video on Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK), and Jane Davidson for the continued support, collaboration, and positive attitude. Thanks also to Business Wales for their exporting expertise.
